Fitness Photo Shoot in Death Valley, CA – Dune Runner

This image was photographed out in Death Valley awhile back.  Kimber is a friend, fitness model and long time collaborator.  We had been discussing the concept for awhile and then just decided to drive out to the desert to see what we could come up with. 3 1/2 hour drive from San Diego to Death Valley, shot for two hours until the sun came down and the 3 1/2 hour drive back.  Worth every minute!!

Fitness Photo Shoot in San Diego, CA – Butterfly Pull-Ups

Awhile back I worked with Ashley and Josh for a series of training images for their personal portfolios.  Both of them were in amazing shape and came to the shoot ready to kick some ass.  I had them working out almost constantly during the 5 hour session.  Here is a shot of Ashley doing Butterfly Pull-Ups. She did this many times until we got the right shot.  Amazing day!

Time Trials photographed in Boulder, CO

Awhile back I had the opportunity to photograph Time Trials in Boulder, CO.  With storm clouds setting in and these incredible athletes pushing themselves it created an amazing opportunity for some dramatic images.

Kimber Photographed at Big Bear and the Mojave Desert, CA

Kimber and I have worked together for a number of years.  She is always willing to stretch herself as a model and an athlete to get amazing images.  Both of these shots were done as personal projects.  For the for the first shot we drove 3 1/2 hours from San Diego out to the Mojave Desert, shot until sundown and drove back another 3 1/2 hours.  I think it was worth it.

The second image was shot in Big Bear, California.  Kimber, my good friend Topher Morrison and a small group of expert climber spent the day in Big Bear shooting stock imagery.  I was synched in about 60 feet up for about 3 hours while they took turns climbing.  I’m not a climber so I really had to work on my fear of heights.  I’m happy I did.

Kimber is the owner of Creatively Spoken and has worked as a professional speaker, on-camera host, voice talent, reporter and live presenter for over a decade.
